“THE GENIES’ JUKEBOX”
THE WORLD PREMIERE OF THE NEW CONCERT
SUNDAY, MARCH 25 AND MONDAY, MARCH 26
THE GREEN ROOM 42 – Broadway’s newest intimate concert venue – has announced the world premiere of “THE GENIES’ JUKEBOX” featuring the stars of Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway for two shows only, Sunday, March 25 and Monday, March 26 at 9:30 PM. Major Attaway, the current Genie, joins forces with the Genie Standbys, Juwan Crawley and Deonté L. Warren, in an eclectic trio show in which a Bass, a Mezzo, and a Tenor join together on stage and magic happens. These three talents bring together an eclectic set of Disney classics, theater showstoppers and pop hits by Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross. The show is directed by Daniel Dunlow, and features music direction by Eric Fotre Leach.
MAJOR ATTAWAY is currently starring at the Genie in Broadway’s Aladdin, after making his Broadway debut as standby for Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart, who originated the role. Attaway’s regional credits include Ragtime, Big River, Hands on a Hardbody, Little Shop of Horrors, and Rent. He’s performed as a soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and has lent his vocal talents to commercials.
“THE GENIES’ JUKEBOX” will be performed at The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel) on Sunday, March 25 and Monday, March 26 at 9:30 PM. Cover charges are $35 with $50 premium tickets (which include a signed poster and preferred seating). There is no food and drink minimum. For tickets, please visit www.TheGreenRoom42.com.
