Little Shop of Horrors “Audrey II” Times Square Installation
The three-time Best Musical Revival Award-winning production of Little Shop of Horrors – currently in its fifth succulent year at the Westside Theatre in NYC – is thrilled to welcome two of the most luminous stage performers – three-time Tony Award Nominated star Sherie Rene Scott (Last Five Years original production, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Everyday Rapture) and thrillingly versatile Broadway star Nicholas Christopher (Jelly’s Last Jam, Hamilton, Sweeney Todd). The two stars reunite after co-starring in Whorl Inside a Loop, and will begin performances as Audrey & Seymour on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at The Westside Theatre. The new cast was announced today at the show’s 5th Anniversary Celebration — a Times Square installation unveiling of the 8-foot tall, Audrey II statue. The installation will now be on display in Times Square for the next 4 weeks, through October 17.“We have been so fortunate to have some of the brightest talents appear in LITTLE SHOP over the past five years,” says producer Robert Ahrens. “It has been a true privilege and pleasure seeing Sarah and Andrew’s unique portrayals of these iconic roles. In addition to their staggering talent, they are both so extremely generous and gracious off-stage and will be missed.”

Peter’s Brainteaser:
Last week:
He was a real-life, genuine Hollywood personality. No, he never appeared on Broadway, but he was mentioned in a lyric in not one but two musicals that ran concurrently for a span of 2,266 days. Two musicals that have something else and something far more significant in common.
He’s Troy Donahue, mentioned in “Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee” in GREASE and “If Troy Donahue can be a movie star” in “Hello, Twelve, Hello, 13, Hello, Love” in A CHORUS LINE – two musicals that once held the record for Broadway’s longest-running show.
Paul Witte unseated Tony Janicki, who finished a distant second. They were followed by Shawn Logan, Josh Israel, Mike Meaney, Jay Aubrey Jones, Deb Poppel, Greg Blazer, Jack Leshner, and Brigadude.
FELA, ERNEST SHACKLETON LOVES ME, MISS SAIGON, THE BOY FROM OZ, MOULIN ROUGE, CHICAGO and EVITA. The seven answers to this list, limited to one or two words, must be in alphabetical order to be correct.
