On today’s episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with a very busy up-and-coming star of the Broadway stage, Jasmine Forsberg. Not only is she getting ready to wrap up the Broadway run of “Here Lies Love,” but she is also preparing to head back into the Queendom of ‘SIX’ where she will return to the role of Jane Seymour — which she originated in the first national tour — at the Lena Horne Theatre on Broadway on Dec. 5.
In addition, this coming Sunday, Jasmine will make her 54 Below solo cabaret debut with “Music That Made Me.” The evening will be a mix of showtunes, songs made famous by the best voices in pop music, and some of Jasmine’s original music as well.
In their chat, Matt and Jasmine discuss the physical and emotional toll of having so many major things happening at once in her life and career. They spoke just minutes after the closing date for “Here Lies Love” was announced, so they got into the historic nature of that run and how the announcement changed Jasmine’s plans with ‘SIX.”
