Special Episode: Andrea Syglowski on Rebeck’s Tragicomedy ‘Dig’

Play

On this episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with the star of the recently extended Off-Broadway premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s new play “Dig,” Andrea Syglowski. “Dig” is presented by Primary Stages. Having starred in the world premiere of the show in 2019, Andrea discusses what goes into returning to a piece that deals with grief and loss having now lived through a global pandemic.

She also tells Matt why she has never been cast as an ingenue and is just now aging into the roles she has been playing for most of her career. The pair also discusses the debate around plants vs. flowers and whether Theresa Rebeck actually wears scarves as often as “Smash” would lead us to believe.
