On today’s episode, Matt Tamanini has an interview eight years in the making as he finally gets to chat with Jasmine Forsberg who is currently wowing audiences in “Here Lies Love” on Broadway.
Having first seen her in an Orlando production of “Carrie” when she was still in high school, Matt has watched from afar as Jasmine made her Off-Broadway debut in Joe Iconis’ “Broadway Bounty Hunter” while she was still in college, then appear in the world premiere of “Love in Hate Nation” and, for the past year, stun crowds across the country as Jane Seymour in the first national tour of “SIX.”
Will Matt has passed his admiration of Jasmine on to his eight-year-old nephew, in the conversation, she informed him that she has never forgotten his review of “Carrie” from 2015.
In their conversation, they discuss the whirlwind of going from the “SIX” tour directly into “Here Lies Love” rehearsal, the emotions of making her Broadway debut in a show as culturally significant as this one, working with your idol, Jasmine’s solo New York cabaret debut in November at 54 Below, and much more.
