BROADWAYRADIO

Special Episode: Hannah Elless, Paul Alexander Nolan on Road Tripping from Asheville to ‘Knoxville’

Play

On today’s episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with two of the most talented and genuinely kind artists working in musical theatre today, Hannah Elless and Paul Alexander Nolan.

The pair is currently co-starring in the world premiere of the new Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty musical “Knoxville” at the Asolo Rep in Sarasota, Fla. As you likely know, Hannah and Paul previously appeared on Broadway together in 2016’s “Bright Star,” a similarly set (but very different feeling) musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell.

The pair talks about the development of both shows, working on stage post-pandemic,  what a road trip for the two of them from Asheville to Knoxville would look like, and much more.
