Special Episode: A.J. Holmes on Finding Himself in ‘Yeah, But Not Right Now’

Play

On this episode, Matt talks with A.J. Holmes about his new one-man musical comedy “Yeah, But Not Right Now” that is currently running Off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse through Oct. 17. In the show, A.J. – who might played the role of Elder Cunningham more than anyone in “The Book of Mormon” – tries to move past his crippling need for constant validation…all in front of an audience in an intimate black box theatre.

Following a sold-out run at Edinburgh Fringe and The Adelaide Fringe Festival, in this original show of songs, stories, and stand-up, A.J. will attempt to win your affection the only way he knows how… by putting on a musical.

In addition to “Book of Mormon,” A.J. co-wrote the viral  musical “A Very Potter Musical” as a student at the University of Michigan and is a co-founder of StarKid Productions. And, depending on what night you go and see “Yeah, But Not Right Now,” you might see some familiar StarKid faces showing up as opening acts.
