On today’s episode, Matt speaks with theatre legend, Alma Cuervo. In her nearly five-decade career, she has done 15 Broadway shows, six national tours, and dozens of regional and Off-Broadway productions. Now, she is returning to the New York stage following the pandemic in an Off-Broadway revival of Paul Osborn’s “Morning’s at Seven” as part of an absolutely star-studded cast, which we discuss in the episode. “Morning’s at Seven” begins performances on Oct. 20 at the Theatre at St. Clement’s and is currently on sale through Jan. 9.
In the conversation, Alma discusses how cathartic it has been to return to the stage in such a joyful production, what it has been like working with such a talented cast of stage veterans, and what the apostrophe is doing in the show’s title.
