Interview: Robert Cuccioli

Robert Cuccioli made his Broadway debut as Inspector Javert in Les Miserables, and, is best known for his critically acclaimed performance as the duel title roles in the Broadway hit Jekyll & Hyde, for which he received a Tony nomination, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award, FANY Award and Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson Award. Off-Broadway credits include Temporary Help, Enter The Guardsman, And The World Goes ‘Round (1991 Outer Critics Circle Award), Gigi, The Rothschilds, Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris and Dietrich & Chevalier. Equally respected for his work in the Classics and Contemporary Plays as well as Musicals, Robert has performed at such notable Regional Theatres as The Guthrie (Antony & Cleopatra), Paper Mill Playhouse (1776, Oklahoma, Lend Me A Tenor, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound Of Music), The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ (Amadeus, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Carnival, Othello), The Shakespeare Theatre of DC ( Hamlet, Lorenzzaccio 2006 Helen Hayes Award Nomination), the McCarter Theatre (Fiction, The School for Scandal), George Street Playhouse (The Seafarer, A Moon To Dance By with Jane Alexander) and most recently at the historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC (1776). Television: White Collar, Sliders, Baywatch, The Guiding Light. Film: Woody Allen’s Celebrity, and the independent film The Stranger. Robert is featured on the original cast recordings of Jekyll & Hyde (Atlantic), And The World Goes ‘Round (RCA Victor), Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris (Ghostlight), and The New Picasso (Black Forest Productions). In celebration of the release of my debut solo album “The Look Of Love”, I will be performing my concert “A Standard Love” on Monday October 8th. With the Barry Levitt Trio.

Cuccioli leads the audience in a touching, warm, uplifting and humorous personal journey through his loves and losses using lyrics from musical standards of the 30’s and 40’s. Included are such classics as: “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head,” “All Of You,” “Love Is Here To Stay,” “A Fine Romance,” “I Wanna Be Around,” “Once Upon A Time,”

 “Witchcraft,” “All I Need Now Is The Girl,” and many more. Of course, Robert will include as an encore, his signature song from Jekyll & Hyde, “This Is The Moment.”

Interview: Laura Osnes

LAURA OSNES is returning to Broadway in January as the title role in Cinderella. Laura starred in two other Rodgers and Hammerstein productions this past spring – the first NY revival of Pipe Dream for Encores! and a one night only concert of The Sound Of Music at Carnegie Hall. She was recently seen on Broadway as Bonnie Parker in Bonnie and Clyde (Tony® Award Nomination) after originating the role at Asolo Repertory Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse (San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Award- Outstanding Lead Female Performance in a Musical). Her other Broadway credits include Hope Harcourt in the Tony-winning revival of Anything Goes (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Astaire Award nominations), Nellie Forbush in Lincoln Center Theatre’s production of South Pacific and her Broadway debut as Sandy in the most recent revival of Grease, after having won the role on NBC’s reality competition “Grease: You’re The One That I Want.” Many regional credits, including Kim McAfee in Broadway: Three Generations (Kennedy Center). Television: HBO’s pilot “The Miraculous Year” written by John Logan and directed by Kathryn Bigelow, “Sondheim: The Birthday Concert” at Avery Fisher Hall (available on DVD), the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors Salute to Barbara Cook and the Las Vegas Smith Center Gala Opening that will air on PBS this fall.
