(A) 1. Andrew Garfield To Star in Netflix’s TICK, TICK… BOOM!

http://www.playbill.com/article/andrew-garfield-to-star-in-lin-manuel-mirandas-tick-tickboom-movie

We finally have casting from a long-awaited movie musical… no, not that one.

Finally confirming rumors, Tony winner Andrew Garfield, has been tapped to star in the upcoming Netflix feature adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s TICK, TICK… BOOM!

Garfield will play the dramatized/fictionalized Jonathan in the project, which is loosely autobiographical. No additional casting or timeline has been announced yet, but as previously reported, Lin-Manuel Miranda will direct from a script by DEAR EVAN HANSEN’s Steven Levenson. TICK, TICK… BOOM! was originally written as a solo piece before being adapted into a three-person musical, though Levenson has already said in the past that he plans to incorporate more aspects of Larson’s own life beyond his depiction in the show.
